QuantFrame is an innovative data visualization platform that transforms complex quantitative information into intuitive, actionable insights. I worked with a small stealth startup as the lead product designer, driving user research, product strategy, and design.
Due to the confidential nature of this project, I can't share specific details about the technology, target market, and implementation. But I will be able to share a bit about my process.
The challenge was to design a platform that could handle sophisticated data processing while presenting information in an accessible, intuitive way.
I began with user research and stakeholder interviews, focusing on technical traders.
I first defined goals for the interface. to create a simplified tool, using AI to aid in deciphering trading signals and optimize algorithms. I created a site map to clarify flows, later abstracted for confidentiality.
Working with a startup helped me learn a lot about expedited research, rapid prototyping and how strategy shifts so often in a fast-paced environment. Balancing design and technical implementation helped me understand how feasibility constraints impact design decisions, and even business direction.
I would have loved to conduct more extensive user testing, which was very difficult since our users are difficult to reach, and finance is generally a very private industry. I would also have explored more advanced data visualization techniques and machine learning integration.
